1 Introduction
This
bibliography provides the possibility for coaches, sports-scientists
and interested people to investigate rowing specific publications
in English or German. It helps to get a general survey of major
documents that are relatated to row sports - like history of rowing,
required equipment, training methodology for beginners or advanced
rowers, sites for tour rowing, etc.
With more than 1,400 verified documents this bibliography is the
largest scientific collection about rowing worldwide. As the result
of a search request publication information and sourde are being
provided. The document itself has to be retrieved from the referring
source by the user .
Due to the fact
that more and more highly advanced search-engines for scholarly literature are available this bibliography was last updated in April 2004.

Entries
Use
this option to display the whole contents of the bibliography
in alphabetical order. Feel free to save or print the resulting
list for your own use. Please notice. Both you need the Adobe
Acrobat reader to open the bibliographies.
3 Structure
Most
of the english publications are provided with a german translation.
Thus, is possible to search as well in the english bibliography
for german terms.
The bibliography contains following details:
monographs: author's name, first name (publication year).
title. place of publication : publisher's name.
Example: ADAM, K. (1931). Rowing. New York: DVR.
4 Search
Options
To
specify your search you may provide up to five keywords or search
terms.
Use the "Language" dialog box to choose between the English
or German bibliography.
Use the "Constraint" option to change the logical relations
between the search terms. Valid logical constraints are: "AND"
and "OR". For example, if you want to search for documents that
contain all the items you select, use the "AND" operator. If you
want to search for all items that contain any one of the terms,
use the "OR" operator.
Search terms can be all details of a document: Author,
title, publishing year, place of publication, editor, page and
magazine.
The search mode causes the system to locate all components
of the search term, including acronyms and hyphenated terms -
for example "force", "force-feed", "forceps", or "forcefull".
The search terms are not case sensitive.
